This wine has a beautiful greenish hue. It is medium-bodied with hints of jasmine, juniper, white pepper and lime. It is very well focused and incredibly food friendly.

Grüner Veltliner

The most important grape of Austria, Grüner Veltliner can be made in a myriad of styles.  These fruity, herbaceous, and peppery wines give a mouth-watering acidity making them ultra charming and delightful. A very versatile food wine, Grüner Veltliner can be enjoyed throughout your meal or while lounging on your porch as a spring sipper. Drink while the bloom of youth is still on it!

Central Coast, California

When we speak of Central Coast, CA were including numerous diverse regions from Santa Cruz down through Santa Barbara counties. This encompasses smaller areas such as Santa Cruz Mountains AVA, Monterey AVA, Paso Robles AVA, Santa Maria Valley AVA, Santa Ynez Valley AVA, and Sta. Rita Hills AVA. The Central Coast is responsible for many great value wines from a multitude of grape varietals depending on the climate within the specific designated areas. From the coastal AVA’s with influence from the fog and cooling effects, you will find Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The inland AVA’s are much warmer, like Paso Robles, so look here for outstanding Syrah, Grenache, Zinfandel, or Rhône-style blends.

“Nobody’s getting rich off small-batch wine, but everyone is incredibly passionate. I’ve been to just about every corner of California and beyond in my search for the right grape to make the wine on my mind. To cut a years-long story short, I finally found what I was looking for in 2007, standing in a field in Happy Canyon, Santa Barbara County.” Jeff founded Habit in 2008 with a desire to make wine he wants to drink, from the right fruit grown in an organic and sustainable way. Our very own Ernst Storm from Storm Wines has been one of Jeff’s mentors in the valley helping him craft wine that has gotten the attention of some of the most prominent restaurants across the nation.
